Holistics students at Swansea College are at the very cutting edge of technology following the installation of brand new spa equipment at the Broadway Centre, Tycoch.
The college is currently the only centre in the whole of the UK to boast a dry floatation tank with infrared lamps, ideal for treating arthritis, muscle fatigue and sports injuries. We are absolutely delighted to be the forefront of spa training as the industry as a whole is moving very much in that direction now, says Holistics curriculum team leader Sharon Stephens.
Our students are gaining experience of using state-of-the-art equipment that will fully prepare them for working in the industry and our clients can come to Broadway to experience a whole new range of treatments, some of which they can't get anywhere else!
The college's training spa has also been boosted with the installation of a massaging hydrotherapy mineral bath which can be used to rehabilitate the body after a stroke. Our philosophy at the Broadway Centre is to offer the use of spa equipment but not at the usual spa prices, adds Sharon.
We are constantly expanding our range of services and now offer Thalassotherapy which uses sea products and Envelopment a detoxifying wrap using Moor mud - in addition to our established sauna and massage treatments.
